Clarke not feeling the pressure ahead of second Test

The tourists are on the verge of their first Test series defeat against Pakistan since 1994, after suffering a 221-run defeat in Dubai last week.

However, captain Clarke remains confident his side can bounce back and level the two-match rubber in Abu Dhabi.

"It doesn't feel any different to any other Test match to me," said the Australia skipper.

"My expectation is always very high, for myself personally to make sure I'm scoring runs and for this Australian team to have success.

"I don't feel any more expectation or any more pressure, it's about playing our best cricket over five days and if we do that I'm confident we can win the Test match.

"I think in these conditions batting first has its advantages, but in saying that, your first innings is crucial, whether you bat first or bowl first.

"I guess execution is going to be the key. We can try different things when we're out there, but I think the most important thing is going to be execution and be able to do that over long periods of time to build pressure."

In addition to calling for improvement with the bat, after Australia mustered totals of 303 and 216 in Dubai, Clarke expects to see more from his side in the field this week.

"The other side I guess where we didn't perform as well as we would've liked in Dubai is with our fielding," he added.

"We didn't hold onto our catches, we missed a few opportunities and, on a pretty good wicket - which I think it will be, certainly the first half of the game - I think we have to grab hold of every chance we get."
