The 33-year-old missed the start of his side's one-day tri-series tour against South Africa and Zimbabwe with a left hamstring problem, but returned to the fold as Australia fell to a shock defeat against the latter on Sunday.
Clarke retired hurt during his innings of 68 not out, only to later return, while he also bowled an over, but Zimbabwe were still too good as they claimed their first one-day win against Australia since 1983.
Clarke has since returned to his homeland for treatment, but stressed his one-day future was not up for debate.
"I have no intention [of quitting one-day cricket]," Clarke said. "It’s hard for me to look any further down the track than where I am today but I love the game as much as I ever have and the last thing I am thinking about is retiring.
"The reason I walked away from T20 international cricket a couple of years ago was to be able to play Test and one-day cricket.
"I have missed one-dayers in the past couple of years and I think that’s because we prioritised Test cricket but my view is I want to play every game for Australia, every one-day international, every Test match."
Despite being forced home by the injury, Clarke has no regrets about featuring against Zimbabwe.
"I spoke to the doctor and physio in Zimbabwe and I believe we made the right decision," he added. "I would have been really disappointed if I got on a plane without seeing how I was going. In my mind I was 100 per cent fit to perform.
"There's obviously a deeper issue than a minor hamstring strain that we thought it was."
