Bhuvneshwar hails Praveen input

Bhuvneshwar was the pick of the India bowlers at Lord's as his 4-46 helped the tourists limit England to 219-6 in reply to the tourists' 295 all out.

And the 24-year-old revealed he had taken much encouragement from discussions with Praveen, who was one of few India players to emerge with credit the last time the nation toured England for a Test series in 2011.

"Praveen Kumar is my idol and I have watched him a lot," said Bhuvneshwar.

"I had a talk with him before I came here. He is like a big brother for me, and we play together for the same team. He still helps me with my bowling."

Bhuvneshwar was content with India's work on the second day, which was rounded off with the late wickets of Moeen Ali and centurion Gary Ballance.

"The wicket became a bit easier for batsmen after the first session," he added.

"We bowled in the right areas and kept them quiet. We did well to keep Ballance quiet, even his hundred was not an easy one. We didn't give any easy runs."
