Bangladesh police have stepped up the hunt for the 29-year-old bowler with 10 mobile teams and cell phone trackers now involved in the search.
The maid, Mahfuza Akter Happy, was found injured and crying on the streets of Dhaka on September 6 with Hossain's house raided soon after.
Television footage appeared to show a malnourished Happy with two swollen black eyes.
An investigating police officer has alleged the Hossain's regularly attacked Happy.
“She told us that the couple beat her very often. Her hand was charred with a hot cooking paddle. She had injury marks all over her body,” Inspector Shafiqur Rahman has said.
Hossain and his wife are facing charges of child repression and employing a minor.
