With players initially resistant to the pink ball idea, Cricket Australia committed an additional $1 million in prize money for the series, which would be split 60:40 in favour of the winner, according to Fairfax.
With Australia already holding a 1-0 lead, players will take home an extra $600,000 dollars with victory in Adelaide, which will be paid to each player on top of normal payments.
For players who've played every Test in the series, pre-tax bonuses would be close to $74,000 dollars each.
