Western Australia remain on top at tea on day three of their Sheffield Shield clash with Queensland at the Gabba, still leading by 17 after reducing the Bulls to 3-91 in their second dig.
After falling to 1-0 in the first over, Ryan Broad (40) and Andrew Robinson (30) helped to reduce the deficit, but with both falling after playing themselves in, Queensland are precariously placed.
Mitchell Marsh holds impressive innings figures of 2-14 after six overs, while Nathan Rimmington continued his strong showing against his former side, removing Wade Townsend in the first over to go with his 3-63 in the first innings.
Joe Burns (17 not out) and first-innings top-scorer Chris Lynn (zero not out) will resume after the interval as the last of the specialist Bulls batsmen.
The pitch remains true, but gathering storm clouds are likely to assist the West Australian seamers later in the day.
Pace destroyer Ben Cutting took 5-43 in the morning session to help bowl the Warriors out for a smaller-than-expected total of 359, giving his side a hope with only a 108-run deficit to make up in the second innings.
Townsend had batted for a mammoth 249 minutes and 190 deliveries to make 54 runs in the first innings, but in the second he survived just four prunes before being squared up by the fifth from Rimmington and nicking through to Luke Ronchi for a duck.
Mitchell Marsh joined the attack from the Stanley Street End and in just his second over he had a major score, ending a 50-run partnership by drawing Robinson, who had looked in top touch, into a rash cut that flew straight to Marcus North at gully.
Fifteen minutes from tea, Broad handed the visitors their third wicket, playing a befuddling swish across the line to a straight and full delivery from Marsh, and losing his middle peg for his lapse.
An outright win for Western Australia will reduce Queensland's lead at the top of the table to just four points.
