Victoria will welcome the return of Peter Siddle and Aaron Finch to state duty on Monday, when the Bushrangers host South Australia in the Sheffield Shield.
Siddle lined up for Victoria in their one-wicket loss away to South Australia in the Ryboi Cup last week, but is yet to make a Shield appearance this summer owing to his Test commitments with Australia earlier this season.
He went wicket-less from 7.2 overs in the Bushrangers' narrow one-day defeat at the Adelaide Oval, but the Dandenong paceman has been in fine form for his country in 2011/12, bagging 23 scalps across the four Tests against India.
Finch meanwhile sat out Victoria's 186-run victory away to South Australia in last week's Shield match after being selected for Australia's second Twenty20 international against India.
The 25-year-old top scored for Australia with a respectable 36 runs on an otherwise disappointing night for the hosts, as they went down by eight wickets at the MCG.
Finch made a duck first up in his last Shield outing, a draw against Queensland in December, but followed it up with a crucial knock of 82 in the second innings.
In his absence, opener Rob Quiney was the standout with the bat for Victoria in their Shield win at the Adelaide Oval.
Quiney made twin centuries of 114 and 119, while Peter Handscomb weighed in with a ton of his own, scoring 113.
The bowling attack also coped well in Siddle's absence - Jon Holland led the way with seven wickets across the two innings, while Scott Boland and Andrew McDonald had three apiece overall.
Youngster Alex Keath managed to bag two wickets in South Australia's innings, but he also made just two runs, and will step aside to make room for the return of Finch.
Meyrick Buchanan has also been left out to accommodate the return of Siddle.
Cameron White's struggle for form this season has cost him a spot in Australia's T20 team, and its captaincy.
But he will pass a personal milestone at state level this week, when he breaks Bill Lawry's record of 56 Shield matches as captain of Victoria.
The Bushrangers sit fourth in the Shield standings, eight points back from second-placed Western Australia, with three rounds of the competition remaining.
South Australia are in last place with just two points and no wins from seven matches played.
Only three Redbacks players reached half centuries in the heavy defeat to Victoria last week.
Opener James Smith made 76 in the home side's first innings, while Callum Ferguson put on 79 in the second.
Tom Cooper (93) fell narrowly short of a century in the second innings, and South Australia will hope for meaningful contributions from others in the squad this week as they look to end their winless run.
Jake Haberfield led the Redbacks bowlers with six wickets across their two spells in the field, but he makes way as one of two changes to the South Australia team.
Haberfield has been omitted in favour of Chadd Sayers.
Cam Williams, who made his debut in last week's defeat, steps aside for the return of spinner Aaron O'Brien, who returns to the team for the first time since a 182-run defeat to Tasmania in November.
