Moises Henriques took four wickets as Australia dismissed an Indian Board XI for 230 in their two-day tour match on Wednesday.

Uncapped all-rounder Henriques returned impressive figures of 4-12 off 9.3 overs, while spinner Nathan Lyon chipped in with 3-69 in Chennai.

Australia, bowled out for 241 on the opening day of the match, batted for just under an hour before stumps were called.

The Aussies had to wait until the 14th over for their first wicket, when Robin Uthappa was caught off Lyon for 24.

The Indians slumped to 4-61 following the losses of Mandeep Singh (three), Abhinav Mukund (21) and Kedar Jadhav (one) before Ambati Rayudu steadied the ship with a superb 87 that included three sixes and nine fours.

Rayudu was eventually caught off Henriques, while Parvez Rassol provided late resistance with four fours and one six on his way to 36.

Another uncapped all-rounder, Glenn Maxwell, finished with 1-20, while seamer James Pattinson claimed 1-24 and Ashton Agar, included in the squad only as a net bowler, took 1-27.

Australia reached 0-15 in their second innings, with Maxwell making an unbeaten 12 off 14 balls and Usman Khawaja adding one not out to complete the drawn match.

The tourists will meet India A next up in a three-day tour match in Chennai on Saturday.
