Wichita State is reportedly trying to keep coach Gregg Marshall by offering him a new contract that would more than double his current salary.

Marshall is being courted by Alabama, which recently fired Anthony Grant. In response, the Shockers are working on an offer in the neighborhood of $4 million per year in order to keep him in Wichita, according to ESPN.

ESPN's Andy Katz reports Marshall is expected to make a decision about his future by the end of the weekend.

The Shockers have gone to four straight NCAA tournaments under Marshall and have advanced to the Sweet 16 in two of the past three seasons. Following a Final Four berth in 2013, the Shockers won 35 straight games to open the 2013-14 season before losing to eventual national runner-up Kentucky in the NCAA Tournament's Round of 32.

Wichita State increased Marshall's salary to $1.6 million in 2013 and $1.75 million in 2014, according to USA Today.
