Tiger's high-profile pairing

Woods Paul

The pair played together before, at the 2013 Tiger Jam (where Kid Rock joined them…weird), and will tee off at 7am at the North Carolina course this week.

It will be Paul’s fourth straight Wyndham pro-am, having previously been paired with Davis Love III, Brandt Snedeker and Fred Couples.

A struggling Woods will be hoping some of CP3’s recent form rubs off on him.

Paul put in an outstanding performance in the first round of the NBA playoffs this year, scoring a team-high 27-points in Game 7 and hitting a last second winner - with a hamstring strain - to beat the Spurs.

The Clippers star averaged 19.1 and had a league-high 10.2 assists per game.

Currently ranked No. 286 in the world, Woods is playing Wyndham for the first time as a last gasp attempt to make the FedEx Cup play-offs next week.

He’s currently in 187th place on FedEx Cup standings and needs to win, or finish outright second, to earn enough points to make it into the top 125 and qualify for the FedEx Cup playoffs.
