The Bulls announced Friday that forward Taj Gibson underwent arthroscopy and repair of his left ankle on June 16.

Gibson, 29, has started rehab and will not be able to return to full basketball activity for about four months. If the timeline goes as planned, Gibson will be ready right before the start of the regular season.

Gibson had issues with his ankle all season long and had to miss some games because of it.

While still dealing with the injury, Gibson was able to play in all of the Bulls' playoff games this season.
