Stephen Curry won the 2014-15 NBA MVP Award the same way he has played all season: He made it look easy.

The Warriors point guard amassed 100 of 130 first-place votes, the NBA announced Monday. Rockets guard James Harden took 25 first-place votes, while Cavaliers forward LeBron James grabbed the other five. Curry totaled 1,198 points to beat Harden's 936.

Here's a full breakdown of the voting:

  1. Stephen Curry, Warriors: 1,198 points (100 first, 26 second, 3 third, 1 fifth)
  2. James Harden, Rockets: 936 points (25 first, 87 second, 13 third, 4 fourth)
  3. LeBron James, Cavaliers: 552 points (5 first, 12 second, 62 third, 32 fourth, 12 fifth)
  4. Russell Westbrook, Thunder: 352 points (5 second, 33 third, 41 fourth, 29 fifth)
  5. Anthony Davis, Pelicans: 203 points (9 third, 35 fourth, 53 fifth)
  6. Chris Paul, Clippers: 124 points (10 third, 15 fourth, 29 fifth)
  7. LaMarcus Aldridge, Trail Blazers: 6 points (1 fourth, 3 fifth)
  8. Marc Gasol, Grizzlies: 3 points (1 fourth)
  9. Blake Griffin, Clippers: 3 points (1 fourth)
  10. Tim Duncan, Spurs: 1 point (1 fifth)
  11. Kawhi Leonard, Spurs: 1 point (1 fifth)
  12. Klay Thompson, Warriors: 1 point (1 fifth)

Curry has been the best player on the league’s best team this season, putting up 23.8 points, 7.7 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game while helping lead the Warriors to a 67-15 regular season record. The former Davidson star also set a new single-season record with 286 3-pointers this season, breaking the mark he set during the 2012-13 season.

The only other player in Warriors history to win the award was Wilt Chamberlain, who won as a rookie with the Philadelphia Warriors back in 1959-60.

Curry was named on every ballot, while Harden was named on all but one (which the writer says was an accident) and James on all but seven.

Harden boldly declared himself the deserving MVP late in the regular season, and his Rockets could play Curry's Warriors in the Western Conference finals. Golden State is facing the Grizzlies while Houston plays the Clippers.

James, who has won four MVPs, finished in the top three in voting for the seventh consecutive season and in the top five for the 10th consecutive season.

One arguable surprise was Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook finishing ahead of Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis. New Orleans took the No. 8 seed in the West playoffs ahead of Oklahoma City, though it came down to a tiebreaker.
