A day after making his first appearance in four games, Rose tweaked his left hamstring in Chicago's 114-109 defeat to the Nuggets in NBA on Tuesday.

Rose - who had two points and three assists - was limited to just 10 minutes as he failed to complete back-to-back games due to tightness in his hamstring.

The Bulls (9-6) crashed to a third defeat in four matches after they were unable to recover from a 10-point deficit in the opening quarter at the Pepsi Center in Denver.

Chicago, though, did manage to stage a late rally, closing the score to 109-106 after trailing by 14 points with less than nine minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.

However, Ty Lawson - who finished with 20 points and 12 assists - extinguished Chicago's hopes, sinking a jump shot and one of two free throws during the final nine seconds.

Arron Afflalo (19 points), Danilo Gallinari (15 points), Wilson Chandler (14 points), Kenneth Faried (12 points) and Timofey Mozgov (11 points) made it into double figures for the Nuggets (7-7), who extended their winning streak to five games.

The Warriors made it six wins in a row thanks to their 114-97 win against the Miami Heat.

Stephen Curry starred for the in-form Warriors (11-2), posting a game-high 40 points.

Curry, who is averaging 22.6 points in 2014-15, has scored double-digit points in 12 of 13 games so far this season.

Klay Thompson contributed 24 points, while Andrew Bogut had eight points and 10 rebounds for the Warriors.

Chris Bosh led the way for the Heat (8-7) yet again, scoring 26 points.

A 22-5 run inspired the Atlanta Hawks to a 106-102 win over the Washington Wizards.

Atlanta reserves Shelvin Mack (13 points) and Mike Scott (17 points) led the late rally.

DeMarcus Cousins had his seventh consecutive double-double as the Sacramento Kings accounted for the New Orleans Pelicans 99-89.

Cousins sunk 22 points and collected 12 rebounds in another dominant display, having registered double-doubles against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Chicago Bulls, Pelicans, San Antonio Spurs, Memphis Grizzlies and Dallas Mavericks.

Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks downed the Detroit Pistons 98-86.
