Real back to the top as Unicaja slip up

The defending champions eased to a 10th victory of the season thanks in part to the performance of guard Sergio Llull, who top scored with 20 points in a game in which Real were always in control.

That result and Unicaja's 82-76 loss at Zaragoza sent Real, who possess the same amount of wins but a greater points difference, to the summit of the league.

Marcus Landry's 18-point haul was key for Zaragoza as they scored 32 points in the final quarter to claim their seventh triumph of the campaign.

FC Barcelona missed the chance to join Real and Unicaja on 10 wins after they were beaten 102-96 by Tuenti Movil Estudiantes.

Justin Doellman posted 25 points but it was in vain as Estudiantes swept aside the Catalan giants.

Estudiantes trio Federico Van Lacke (25), Nacho Martin (24) and Javier Salgado (20) combined for 69 points.

Valencia's 101-92 success against Gran Canaria produced the highest-scoring affair of the round, with Pau Ribas (15 points), Nemanja Nedovic (18 points), Romain Sato (17 points) and Kresimir Loncar (17 points) all reaching double figures for the hosts in an entertaining victory.

FIATC Joventut claimed their seventh victory in eight games by edging out Bilbao 85-79, while UCAM Murcia CB emerged triumphant over Laboral Kutxa 93-88.

Elsewhere, Tenerife beat Gipuzkoa Basket 77-68, Fuenlabrada were 90-64 winners over La Bruixa d'Or and MoraBanc Andorra overcame Sevilla 77-57.
