Phil Jackson expects Kobe Bryant to keep playing beyond this season. Only maybe not as a member of the Lakers.

Jackson, currently president of the Knicks, coached Bryant in Los Angeles, and has been critical in the past of his former star.

None of this makes clear whether the Knicks would be a potential suitor for Bryant, who’s entering his 20th season with the Lakers.

Bryant’s contract expires after the season.
