Knicks upset Raptors, Hawks edge Heat

James Hardaway Jr.

The New York Knicks stunned the Toronto Raptors with a shock 103-98 win at Madison Square Garden in the NBA on Saturday.

Tim Hardaway Jr had 22 points as the Knicks claimed their second straight win and inflicted the Raptors' fifth consecutive loss.

Lou Williams produced a team-high 22 points for the Raptors off the bench, while DeMar DeRozan was three-of-15 from the field as part of his 13-point haul.

Andrea Bargnani (19 points) and Alexey Shved (15) were also good contributors for the Knicks, who held on despite the Raptors' late rally.

The struggling Knicks (12-46) are still bottom of the Eastern Conference, while the Raptors are third.

The short-handed Atlanta Hawks held off the fast-finishing Miami Heat to record a 93-91 victory at American Airlines Arena.

With four players missing, the East-leading Hawks still got the job done thanks largely to Paul Millsap (22 points).

Dwyane Wade had 22 points for the Heat, who are seventh in the East.

Deron Williams' 25-point haul helped the Brooklyn Nets to a surprise 104-94 victory over the Dallas Mavericks.

Marc Gasol's double-double of 27 points and 11 rebounds saw the Memphis Grizzlies past the Minnesota Timberwolves 101-97.

Kawhi Leonard also had a double-double, his 22 points and 10 rebounds seeing the San Antonio Spurs beat the Phoenix Suns 101-74.

John Wall (22 points) and Marcin Gortat (16 points and 17 rebounds) led the Washington Wizards past the Detroit Pistons 99-95 and the Utah Jazz edged the Milwaukee Bucks 82-75.
