Stephen Curry should have had an opportunity to win Game 3 against the Pelicans in regulation Thursday night.

The NBA anounced Friday that Curry was fouled on his game-tying 3-pointer with 2.8 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. Curry should have gone to the line for a potential 4-point play that could have given the Warriors a 109-108 lead. Instead, the game went to overtime, where Golden State won 123-119 for a 3-0 lead in their opening-round Western Conference playoff series.

The NBA determined during its review of the final two minutes of regulation and overtime that the Pelicans' Anthony Davis made contact with Curry on his follow-through and that the non-call was incorrect.

The tying-shot sequence began when Marreese Speights collected an offensive rebound of a Curry miss and then passed back to Curry, who barely got a shot off over Davis and Tyreke Evans.

Curry finished the game with 40 points.

Earlier Friday, Bay Area News Group reported the Warriors were informed by the league that a foul would have been called had Curry missed.
