Mick Cronin is back.

The Cincinnati coach has been cleared to resume all duties with no restrictions, the school announced Monday. Cronin had been sitting out most of the season due to a vascular condition known as arterial dissection.

He sat out as a precaution and the condition is considered non-life threatening.

"I would like to thank the entire University of Cincinnati community and administration for their support during the past three months," Cronin said in a statement. "I also would like to thank UC Health and its neurosurgery department, especially Dr. Norberto Andaluz and Dr. Todd Abruzzo, for the care that I have received.

"Obviously, I'm excited to be coaching again, but most importantly, I'm grateful to be 100 percent healthy."

In Cronin's absence, associate head coach Larry Davis took over and compiled a 16-9 record. The Bearcats made the NCAA Tournament, but eventually lost 64-51 to Kentucky in the Round of 32. Cronin was still in charge of running the program, helping to assist with the game planning.

"We are pleased Mick is able to fully resume his coaching duties," athletic director Mike Bohn said in a statement. "His behind-the-scenes leadership was critical in last season's success coupled with Larry's direction and the players' focus on the court throughout the year."
