Mike Conley starred as the Memphis Grizzlies beat the Sacramento Kings 97-83 to end a three-game losing streak and leapfrog the Houston Rockets in the race of the Western Conference's second seed.

Conley posted a team-high 18 points to help the Grizzlies back to winning ways at FedExForum in Memphis after consecutive defeats to the San Antonio Spurs, Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Grizzlies (51-24) are now second in the West, half-a-game clear of the Houston Rockets (50-24), who were beaten by the Toronto Raptors 99-96.

Rudy Gay, who left the game with less than a minute remaining in the third quarter, scored a game-high 24 points for a Kings outfit missing DeMarcus Cousins.

Blink and you would have missed Kyle Korver's sensational 65-second stretch in the Atlanta Hawks' 101-88 win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Korver had 11 points in a 65-second burst for the Eastern Conference - leading the Hawks (56-18) during the third quarter at Philips Arena in Atlanta.

It started with a three-pointer midway between the arc and the half-court line, followed by a long two-pointer, then two three-pointers.

Korver did not score any more after that, finishing four-for-10 from the field, while DeMarre Carroll led the way with 23 points.

The Portland Trail Blazers, Boston Celtics, Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Lakers were the other winners on Monday.

Portland clinched their play-off spot courtesy of a 109-86 victory against the Phoenix Suns.

Damian Lillard scored 19 points and LaMarcus Aldridge contributed 17 as the Trail Blazers (48-25) edged closer to the Northwest Division title.

The Celtics climbed back into the eighth and final play-off spot in the East after defeating the Charlotte Hornets 116-104.

Monday's win saw the Celtics (33-41) edge ahead of the Brooklyn Nets (32-40) on percentage.

Meanwhile, the Lakers trumped fellow strugglers the Philadelphia 76ers 113-111 in overtime and the Jazz accounted for the Minnesota Timberwolves 104-84.
