During the second quarter of Game 4 of the NBA Finals LeBron James split his head open on a baseline camera after colliding with Australian Andrew Bogut underneath the basket.
You could hear James yell "TOWEL, TOWEL, TOWEL."

There was blood. A lot of blood.

James stayed on the court to shoot the free throws, and despite drawing blood, James remained in the game.
Typically, a player must leave the court if blood is drawn. PErhaps because the laceration was not deep, the training staff was quickly able to stop the bleeding.
