The Fernando Buesa Arena outfit qualified for the play-offs last season, but had failed to pick up a single victory in their opening three fixtures this term.

However, a Basque derby brought out the best in Laboral Kutxa, for whom Fernando San Emeterio top-scored with 15.

The home side had trailed by 10 points at the end of the first quarter, but a sensational second saw them move into the ascendancy before seeing out an important victory.

Reigning champions Barcelona maintained their 100 per cent record with a 57-43 win at struggling Gipuzkoa.

Despite being outscored in both the third and fourth quarters, it was Barca's 22-6 win in the second that hurt Gipuzkoa and there was no coming back for the hosts.

In a low-scoring affair, only Ante Tomic for Barca and Daniel Diez for Gipuzkoa managed to reach double figures in terms of points.

Real Madrid kept pace with Barca by securing a 93-82 victory at Iberostar Tenerife, although they were forced to withstand a late fightback from their hosts.

Trailing 74-58 at the end of the third quarter, Tenerife's fourth-quarter mini revival proved to be too little, too late.

Unicaja are also among the sides maintaining an unblemished record following a 74-67 win at Herbalife Gran Canaria.

La Bruixa d'Or joined Laboral Kutxa in recording their first win of the season as they triumphed 88-80 over new boys MoraBanc Andorra, while Sevilla lost 98-68 at UCAM Murcia to remain winless this season.

Elsewhere, Rio Natura Monbus beat FIATC Joventut 78-72, CAI Zaragoza, who mourned the death of former coach Jose Luis Abos last week, edged Montakit Fuenlabrada 69-67, and Valencia were 84-67 winners against Tuenti Movil Estudiantes.
