Klay Thompson was not shy about shutting down Doc Rivers' comments about the Warriors' title run last year.

The Clippers coach recently said the Warriors needed "luck" to make it out of the Western Conference, as they avoided the Clippers and Spurs in the postseason. Thompson was quick to point out the flaws in Rivers' statement.

"If we got lucky, look at our record against them last year. I'm pretty sure we smacked them," Thompson said, via Inside Bay Area.

"Didn't they lose to the Rockets? Exactly," he continued, referring to the Rockets beating the Clippers in the Western Conference semifinals. "That just makes me laugh. That's funny. Weren't they up 3-1, too? Yeah, tell them I said that. That's funny, man. That's funny."

The Warriors defeated the Clippers in three of their four regular-season matchups. Los Angeles ousted the Spurs in seven games in the first round.

Thompson said he "wanted to play the Clippers last year, but they couldn't handle their business."

During the Clippers' media day Friday, Rivers conceded that Thompson was right.
