Derrick Rose won't be the only player missing on the court for the injury-plagued Bulls, as guard Jimmy Butler will be out three to six weeks with a left elbow sprain, the team announced on Monday.

Butler hyperextended his left elbow in the the third quarter of the Bulls' 96-86 home loss to the Clippers on Sunday when he ran into a screen set by Clippers forward DeAndre Jordan. He had scored 10 points and grabbed two rebounds in 21 minutes before leaving the game.

Butler underwent an MRI on Monday and the exam confirmed "a Grade 2/3 ulnar ligament sprain and small bone impaction injury to the left elbow," the Bulls said in a release. He previously missed five games earlier this season, with Chicago going 4-1 in those games.

Butler is the team's leading scorer this season, averaging 20.2 points in addition to 5.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 55 games.

The beat-up Bulls are also without Taj Gibson (ankle) and Pau Gasol (illness). They next host the Wizards on Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET.
