Both the Pacers and Nets knew they had to win to stay alive in the race for the Eastern Conference's final playoff spot heading into their regular season finales on Wednesday.

The Nets handled their business. The Pacers did not, losing 95-83, which means they will be staying home while the Nets keep their season going.

The Nets beat the Magic 101-88 early in the evening, after entering the fourth quarter tied at 75-75. The Pacers fell behind early to the Grizzlies and never recovered.

Brooklyn will face Atlanta, the East’s top seed, in the first round. Brooklyn was 0-4 against Atlanta in the regular season.
