Dwight Howard’s travel plans had to take a rain check recently when TSA officials found a gun in his luggage.

Howard was detained for having a pistol in his carry-on bag at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston on Aug 28., according to ESPN. The Rockets center was detained — but not arrested — and charges weren’t filed, according to the Houston Police Department.

Howard told officials the gun was his and was allowed to give it to an associate. He was later able to board another flight.

Houston PD spokesman Kese Smith told ESPN that few charges are filed or arrests made when guns are found in the city’s main airports.
