Bogut and Warriors targeting Lakers' win record

Steph Curry said breaking the 33-game win-streak record is next on the list for the undefeated NBA champions.

The Warriors became the first team to start a season 16-0 after comfortably seeing off the Los Angeles Lakers 111-77 on Tuesday.

Coincidently, the Lakers are the last team to have won 33 games in a row.

That feat was achieved by the 1971-72 Lakers, who finished the regular campaign 69-13 en route to winning the title.

And while the Warriors are not looking too far ahead, Curry - last season's MVP - insisted his teammates are eyeing something special.

"It's important to have tangible goals that you can look at and really work for," Curry told reporters on Wednesday. "We do a great job of just staying in the moment.

"Nobody really talked about the 15-0 until probably last week when we were around 11 or 12 wins. You can't really get too far ahead of yourself. There's so much that can happen in this league over 82 games.

"The great teams are the ones that can focus on each individual game. We talked about 33. I think I probably talked about 33 more than anybody else just because I know about the history, and really how hard that is.

"We've had like two 16-game winning streaks the last two years, and those are pretty special feats. For us to have to double that output, we're going to play hard and, hopefully, close in on that record.

"But it won't be a disappointing effort if we don't get there because there are so many talented teams in this league. For us to be playing at a high level right now, that's what we're worried about. If we close in and get to 29 or 30 [wins], then we'll talk about it a little bit more."
