The Golden State Warriors held on for a 99-98 win over the Houston Rockets, extending their Western Conference Finals series lead to 2-0.

The Rockets had the chance to pinch a series-levelling victory at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, when James Harden had possession in the dying seconds - but he was double-teamed, and the Warriors eventually forced a turnover without a shot made.

Harden led all-comers on the night with 38 points, and also had 10 rebounds and nine assists in a stellar performance, but could not haul his side over the line.

Steph Curry, meanwhile, broke the record for most threes in a single NBA post-season, passing Reggie Miller's mark of 58 with five baskets from range on Thursday on his way to 33 points.
