The 25-year-old Croatian shooting guard signed a three-year deal with the Nets on July 22, reportedly worth $10million.

Bogdanovic has been playing in Europe, but still feels he can adapt quickly to the different challenges in the NBA.

"It's not going to be easy. I have to do some adjustments, especially because there are a lot of games, much more than in Europe," he said.

"But I am ready and I think I can help the team immediately."

Bogdanovic described himself as "very happy and proud" to be joining the Nets.

Asked about the strict reputation of coach Lionel Hollins, the former Fenerbahce man said he was prepared.

"I had a great dinner with him two days ago. We talked a lot about my game, about the situation at the club and what he expects of me. I think that I can help," he said.

"All my career I've worked with tough coaches. It's not going to be something new for me."
