Blake Griffin anticipates that it won't be long until he's at full strength.

Despite recently returning to the court on March 15 against the Rockets, the Clippers forward believes the best is yet to come.

"I think over the next week to 10 days I probably should be close," Griffin said, via the Los Angeles Times. "But again, I don't really know, I'm just speculating."

In his first five games back since undergoing elbow surgery on Feb. 9 to remove a staph infection, Griffin has averaged 18.8 points, 8.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists. Prior to his injury, he was averaging 22.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.1 assists. Griffin also boasted double-doubles in his first three games back and scored 22 and 23 points, respectively, in his past two games.

"Taking care of the ball and shooting more confidently," Griffin said. "That will just come with time."

Clippers point guard Chris Paul praised his teammate's performance since returning from surgery.

"You forget that he was out," Paul said. "I didn't even realize that it was five weeks. It was that long? That's crazy. It just shows how committed he is to the team, and how hard he works, and why he's a freak of nature."

The Clippers are currently fifth in the Western Conference with a 46-25 record. They went 9-6 without Griffin.
