A poor performance on Christmas in a key Western Conference game left Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green in a foul mood.

After his team's 100-86 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, Green went off about the Warriors' lack of intensity.

"We couldn't hit a shot — and that game was too nice,'' Green told reporters. "It wasn't the game that I expected to play in. It was too nice on both teams' behalf, honestly. It was not the same that we've come to know with those guys."

The Warriors led 42-41 at halftime despite the Clippers missing 17 consecutive shots during one stretch.

"I didn't think we were intense, as far as that fire," he said. "But I don't think they were, either. I don't know what the cause of it was. Maybe everybody was a little too jolly. But it was too nice. It was boring. I'm sure that wasn't the prime-time game everybody expected.

"I'm not saying you have to have all the elbows and all that crazy stuff. You don't have to have all of that. But the battle? It just wasn't there.

“It’s no secret we don’t like them. And it’s no secret they don’t like us. I don’t know why the game was that nice, trying to act like we like each other. And we don’t."
