Andre Miller is set to join rare air and become the 23rd active NBA player aged 40 or older, after he signed a one-year deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Miller, 39, is the oldest active player in the league, shading the likes of Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett by mere days.
Unlike Duncan, however, Miller has done the rounds and is about to represent his eighth different franchise - in stark contrast to Spurs legend Duncan, who has spent his entire career in San Antonio.
Miller is already among a select group in the NBA - one of only eight players to have 16,000 points and 8,000 assists to their name.
He is ninth all-time in assists - 8,437 - and led the league in the statistic in the 2002 season while at the Cleveland Cavaliers with 882.
The terms of the veteran guard's deal were not disclosed.
Last season, Miller averaged 4.4 points and 3.5 assists in 15.5 minutes game time for the Washington Wizards and the Sacramento Kings, having been traded to the latter in February.
Miller is set to turn 40 on March 19.
