The Perth Wildcats remain in second spot on the NBL ladder after a 91-74 win over the Sydney Kings at Challenge Stadium on Sunday night.

The Wildcats came into the match with back-to-back losses but were simply too good for the Kings.

Jesse Wagstaff was the star for the home side with 25 points and eight rebounds, while Kevin Lisch added 19 points and Luke Nevill 10.

Anatoly Bose was the Kings' best with 16 points, with Jerai Grant hitting 12 and Ben Madgen 10.

The Wildcats swung the game in their favour with a 19-3 run to begin the second quarter.

To the Kings credit they didn’t lose hope and thanks to two separate runs of 7-0 got back to within five points at one stage before the home side pulled away again.

The Wildcats' big men limited Sydney's Julian Khazzouh to just seven points which was pivotal to the home side’s victory.

In Sunday's other match, the Townsville Crocodiles continued their charge towards the NBL playoffs with an 80-66 win over the Gold Coast Blaze in Brisbane.

Peter Crawford scored 22 points to star for the Crocs, who put an end to the Blaze's five-game winning streak.

Eddie Gill (18 points), Jacob Holmes (11 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists) and Elvin Mims (14 points, 10 rebounds) provided strong support, while import Adris Deleon played a lone hand for Gold Coast with 22 points.
