David West scored 30 points as the Indiana Pacers posted their second consecutive win over the Miami Heat with a 102-89 victory.
Paul George added 15 points for the Pacers, who joined the New York Knicks as the only teams to beat the defending champions twice this season.
LeBron James led Miami with 28 points, six rebounds and three assists, while Heat star Dwyane Wade was kept quiet with just 17 points.
"They're one of the best teams in the NBA, so it's good to beat them, but we can't overreact to this," West said.
"We match up with them and I think we have some familiarity with them from the playoff series.
"It's just one game and they're a tough team and they're going to adjust the next time we see them."
Elsewhere, Rudy Gay posted 20 points in his Toronto debut as the Raptors routed the Los Angeles Clippers 98-73.
Pau Gasol had 22 points and 12 rebounds in his return to the starting line-up as the Los Angeles Lakers clinched a 111-100 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
