The Dallas Mavericks enjoyed the biggest win in the history of the franchise with an impressive 128-78 trouncing of the Knicks in New York.
Dallas, without Jason Kidd, led by 53 points at one stage with Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Terry contributing 20 points each.
Two free-throws with 1.2 seconds on the clock saw the Toronto Raptors edge the visiting Los Angeles Lakers 106-105.
Lakers talisman Kobe Bryant unsuccessfully attempted a jump shot in the last second as LA left Toronto empty-handed.
In Washington, the Wizards fell victim to a resurgent Los Angeles Clippers team 92-78.
The Clippers had lost their last eight away from home but ended that poor run as Chris Kaman scored 20.
