A starring role from Chris Kaman led the New Orleans Hornets to just their fifth win of the NBA season in an 86-80 upset of the Utah Jazz.
Kaman, who joined the team in the off-season in a trade that saw the Hornets lose star Chris Paul to the Los Angeles Clippers, shot a season-high 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to help his side end an eight-game losing run.
Utah led 21-20 at the first change but the next two quarters saw them restricted to just 30 points.
Gustavo Ayon (13 points, nine rebounds) and Greivis Vasquez (12 points, 10 rebounds) were also important players for the Hornets.
The Jazz turned the ball over on 20 occasions and shot poorly from the field in a disappointing performance.
In other matches on Monday, LeBron James (35 points) and Dwyane Wade (22 points) led the way as the Miami Heat cruised to a 114-96 win over the Milwaukee Bucks, while a strong team effort was enough for the Orlando Magic to down the Minnesota Timberwolves 102-89.
Dirk Nowitzki scored 22 points as the Dallas Mavericks came from behind in the final quarter to defeat the Los Angeles Clippers 96-92, while the Charlotte Bobcats slumped to their 15th loss in a row as the Philadelphia 76ers edged them 98-89.
The Golden State Warriors beat the Phoenix Suns 102-96 thanks to 28 points from David Lee.
