The Utah Jazz upset Denver 106-96 at Pepsi Centre on Sunday just days after the Nuggets had stunned the Miami Heat.
The Nuggets upstaged one of the NBA's premier teams in Miami on Friday, but could not back it up at home against the hungrier Jazz.
Utah duo Paul Millsap and Al Jefferson caused the Nuggets headaches all night and combined for 44 points and 24 rebounds.
Both players had double-doubles and contributed to 54 points in the paint for the Jazz.
Tim Duncan finished with 24 points and 11 rebounds to help the San Antonio Spurs to a 102-91 win at home to the Phoenix Suns.
The victory maintains their perfect record at home this season (9-0) and consigns the Suns to a fourth straight loss.
However, Spurs remain winless on the road this season (0-4).
Tony Parker had 17 points and nine assists for the winners while veteran Steve Nash returned with 20 points after missing Phoenix's loss to New Jersey on Friday.
Golden State won on the road for the first time this season thanks to a 99-91 success over the Detroit Pistons.
It was only the Warriors second win in their last 17 attempts in Detroit and came on the back of David Lee's 24 points and Monta Ellis's 22.
The Warriors trailed by four at the interval but went on a 8-0 scoring spree early in the third and never looked back from there.
