Cleveland's rookie guard Kyrie Irving scored two last-second free-throws to clinch a 101-100 win over Detroit in the NBA on Tuesday (local time).
The NBA's No.1 draft pick scored 17 of his 25 points in the final quarter to lead the Cavaliers to victory, after the home side trailed the Pistons by 11 points at the final break.
Irving stepped up to the free-throw line with 0.4 seconds left on the clock to sink the decisive foul shots and confirm his quickly growing reputation as a player who thrives under pressure.
In Portland, the Trailblazers piled on 41 points in the opening quarter in a huge win over San Antonio.
The home side had six players score over 15 points in their 137-97 victory, with LaMarcus Aldridge top-scoring with 21 points.
Kawhi Leonard scored 24 points for the Spurs, while Jamal Crawford chipped in with 20 points for the Trailblazers.
In Miami, Dwyane Wade scored 30 points as the Heat defeated the Kings 120-108.
Sacramento led the home side 32-26 at the opening break but from then on Wade took control making three steals and 10 assists, to inspire the Heat.
In other NBA results on Tuesday, Indiana beat New Orleans 117-108 thanks to 30 points from centre Roy Hibbert, while the Grizzlies overcame Philadelphia 89-76 in Memphis.
