The Townsville Crocodiles have consolidated their spot in the top four with a comfortable 79-69 victory over the Adelaide 36ers on Wednesday night.
The Crocs had opened up an eight-point advantage by half-time and were never seriously threatened in the second half as they registered their seventh home victory of the season.
Import Eddie Gill led the Crocs with 17 points, but he received plenty of support from team-mates Peter Crawford (14) and Michael Cedar (13), while Luke Schenscher and Jacob Holmes chipped in with 10 points apiece.
Adelaide big man Daniel Johnson led all scorers with 21 points and a massive 16 rebounds, but Chris Warren (13 points) and Nathan Herbert (11) were the only other 36ers to score in double figures.
The victory sees the Crocs remain in third place on the NBL ladder with a 10-6 win-loss record, while the 36ers (5-13) remain in eighth.
