The Townsville Crocodiles have cruised to an emphatic 32-point win over a disappointing Cairns Taipans at the Townsville Entertainment Centre on Friday night.
In a totally one-sided encounter, the Crocs overcame a sluggish start in the first term to completely outclass the visitors 75-43.
Big man Luke Schenscher had 12 points in the first quarter while Jacob Holmes was strong under the basket nailing seven rebounds in the opening term and 15 for the night.
Michael Cedar dominated the second quarter while Eddie Gill was also impressive as the home side had a 17-point buffer at half-time.
The Taipans simply had no answers after the break and the demolition continued with the lead breaking out to 28 by three-quarter time before another strong display by Crocs guard Peter Crawford saw them complete the massive win.
The Taipans will have to recover quickly with a clash against the Melbourne Tigers to come on Saturday night.
