Derrick Rose guided the Chicago Bulls to victory over the New York Knicks in the NBA on Thursday (local time), while the Denver Nuggets also won.

Reigning MVP Rose (32 points and 13 assists) starred as the Eastern Conference-leading Bulls edged the Knicks 105-102.

Named a starting All-Star for the East squad earlier on Thursday, Rose scored 15 points in the last quarter as the Bulls bounced back from their loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Amar'e Stoudemire had a season-high 34 points for the Knicks, but missed a three-point attempt with 11.9 seconds remaining as he tried to level the scores.

Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets, second in the Western Conference, took a 112-91 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.

Danilo Gallinari netted 21 points, including five three-pointers, as the Nuggets recovered from a 32-19 quarter-time deficit.

The Memphis Grizzlies won at the Philips Arena for the first time since November 2005 with a 96-77 win over the Atlanta Hawks.

Rudy Gay netted 21 points, collected six rebounds and provided three assists to help the Grizzlies break their drought in Atlanta.

The Sacramento Kings snapped a five-game losing streak with a surprise 95-92 victory against the Portland Trail Blazers.

The San Antonio Spurs eased to a 93-81 win over the New Orleans Hornets as Tim Duncan (19 points) and Tony Parker (18) led the way.

Stephen Curry scored 29 points and had 12 assists to see the Golden State Warriors past the Utah Jazz with a 119-101 win.

Monta Ellis added a game-high 33 points.
