The Boomers remain undefeated in the Stankovic Continental Cup, advancing to the final with a hard-fought 69-60 win over Iran at the Liugang Gymnasium in Liuzhou, China on Friday.

Iran, ranked no.21 in the world, did its utmost to trouble the 11th-ranked Boomers but the Aussies simply had more class at the finish, improving to a 3-0 record to enter the championship game as the highest-ranked team.

Patrick Mills again led the scoring for the Aussies with 16 points, ably supported by David Anderson (13) and Joe Ingles (12).

Veteran forward Matt Nielson was rested for the game after suffering a corked thigh in the Boomers' win over Slovenia on Thursday.

Australia will play the winner of China and Slovenia in the final on Sunday night.
The Boomers' progress in China bodes well for their FIBA World Championships campaign, which begins in Turkey on August 28.
