The Charlotte Bobcats restricted LeBron James to 29 points as they pulled off a surprise away victory over the rampant Cleveland Cavaliers.
Stephen Jackson scored 21 points for the Bobcats as they claimed a 91-88 success for their first win at Quicken Loans Arena.
It was nowhere near as close at Madison Square Garden as the New York Knicks thrashed the Indiana Pacers 132-89.
The 43-point winning margin was just five short of equalling a franchise record for biggest ever victory, with Wilson Chandler scoring 23 points and David Lee adding 22 points and 16 rebounds.
A record was broken in Toronto as Chris Bosh scored 22 points to become the leading scorer in Raptors history, leading his side to a 91-86 victory over the San Antonio Spurs.
Bosh, who also had 15 rebounds, now has 9,428 points, eclipsing Vince Carter's mark of 9,420 points.
Allen Iverson scored 17 points as the Philadelphia 76ers held off a late rally to beat the Denver Nuggets 108-105.
The 76ers led 105-94 before Arron Afflalo scored five straight points to kick off a 9-0 run, but Afflalo eventually missed a three-pointer as time expired and the 76ers held on.
In the final game of the day, the Los Angeles Lakers thrashed the Dallas Mavericks 131-96.
