Andrew Bogut's wretched run of injury has continued with the Australian ruled out indefinitely with a back problem.
The Golden State Warriors announced on Friday the star centre is suffering from back spasms after playing in games on consecutive nights for the first time this season on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Coach Mark Jackson said Bogut had an MRI scan on Friday, but the results are not yet known.
"We just don't know. There's no red flag or anything. We just don't know," he said.
"We realise this is a process. For a guy who has not played in a long time, you're going to go through your body reacting to it.
"We know how important he is to this basketball team. This is something we didn't expect, but at the same time, we'll take care of it and move forward.
The 28-year-old has already missed 43-of-55 games this season as he recovered from ankle surgery, while he also has suffered numerous back injuries during his time at Milwaukee.
Bogut is averaging 7.1 points, 6.5 rebounds and 22.5 minutes over his 12 games this season.
