Though he would have preferred the green jacket, Justin Rose got his redemption with an impressive win at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans on Sunday.

Rose finished in a tie for second with Phil Mickelson at the Masters, four strokes behind Jordan Spieth, but brushed off the disappointment to stamp his foot on the 2015 season.

It hasn't been all roses for the Englishman this year, having dealt with a lingering wrist injury that kept him out of the top 10 in his first seven appearances worldwide. He missed three cuts in that span and really could have chalked it up as a lost season. But that's not in his nature.

He has now won at least one tournament on tour each year since 2010.

Battling through the rain-swept Sunday conditions, Rose finished 22 under and looked determined to close out a tournament that saw multiple postponements. In fact, more than once it looked as though it would be impossible to get all 72 holes in with thunderstorms and heavy rains washing out much of Saturday's third round. But Mother Nature cooperated Sunday, letting the players finish the tournament on time.

Cameron Tringale birdied the par-5 18th to finish second at 21 under following a 7-under 65 in the final round. Tringale was hot out of the gates, firing four birdies and an eagle en route to a 6-under 30 on the outward nine. Things cooled off for him on the back nine, but he will still receive valuable FedEx Cup points.

Boo Weekley wound up in third after failing to birdie the 18th hole. Third-round leader Jason Day and Jim Herman tied for fourth at 19 under. Day will be left wondering what could have been had he not been thrown out of rhythm Saturday. After climbing up the leaderboard with a 65 on Friday, he looked poised to add his second win of the season.

Instead, Day will enter next week's WGC Cadillac Match-Play as the defending champion and on the shortlist of favorites.
