Wild forward Justin Fontaine will be sidelined for Game 2 of the second-round series against the Blackhawks after suffering a lower-body injury during Minnesota's 4-3 loss in Game 1, coach Mike Yeo announced Saturday.

"It's one of these things that could be day-to-day or it might be a week. I'm not sure," Yeo said, via ESPN.

Fontaine was further evaluated by team doctors Saturday. He will likely be replaced by Erik Haula, Ryan Carter, Sean Bergenheim or Jordan Schroeder. Although Yeo has yet to disclose who will play in Fontaine's absence, he did say that he's looking to add someone with speed who can kill penalties.

"We've got a lot of options," Yeo said.

Fontaine, 27, has one goal and one assist in the postseason. He ended the regular season with nine goals and 22 assists while averaging 11:57 of ice time.

Chicago will host Minnesota for Game 2 on Sunday at 8:30 p.m. ET. The Blackhawks took a 1-0 lead in the series with their win Friday.
