Matt Barrows from the Sacramento Bee described the play as the highlight of the day as he made a run out of the backfield, moved to the right, broke a few tackles and then was slammed at the goal-line by two huge defenders.

Despite the heavy contact, Barrows was impressed by Hayne who somehow managed to power his body through two of the biggest defenders in the team and blast into the end zone for a touchdown.

Watch the awesome play here:

"I thought that one was pretty rugby-esque ," teammate Joe Staley said.

"It was kind of lateral, kind of bumping off people. I've seen very few clips of rugby but that's probably what it looks like."

The play bodes well for Hayne's chances of making the 49ers' final roster, considering he is impressing so much in just his fourth ever padded-up practice.

Hayne was also impressive earlier in the training day in fielding and returning punts, a role that he has so far shown to be a natural fit in.

Just before scoring his impressive touchdown Hayne was absolutely smashed by one of the 49ers' most fearsome defenders Tank Carradine.

Hayne shared this moment on Instagram after his impressive efforts at training:

Another week chasing it! #GIG
