Boosters reportedly want Travis Ford out as Oklahoma State’s basketball coach, so much so that they are believed to be willing to foot part of the bill.
Firing Ford would cost OSU $9.6 million, the amount remaining on the 10-year contract extension he signed in 2009, according to The Oklahoman.

With the university planning to build a new baseball stadium, the outside funding would help ease some of discomfort of paying Ford and his replacement, The Oklahoman reported.
Ford and OSU athletic director Mike Holder had not responded to requests for comment as of Monday evening, according to The Oklahoman.
The Cowboys have compiled a 143-91 (60-60 Big 12) record in seven seasons under Ford but are just 1-5 in the NCAA Tournament. Earlier this month, Oklahoma State lost to Oregon, 79-73, in the Tournament's Round of 64.
