Richmond International Raceway

Due to inclement weather, NASCAR has moved the Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond International Raceway to Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.

NASCAR may have to also delay the start of the race Sunday as the Weather Channel predicts that the skies won't be clear until Sunday afternoon and evening.

Drivers had to wait through more than four hours of rain delays at Bristol last Sunday before the Food City 500 was completed. Matt Kenseth took the checkered flag almost 10 hours after the race was scheduled to begin.

NASCAR officials said that Saturday night's decision was made after assessing weather forecasts and consulting with government and law enforcement officials.

"I know it's a rough day," RIR track president Dennis Bickmeier said during the meeting, acknowledging the threat of delays. "Thank you for hanging with us."
