Tom Brady is 37 and shows few signs of slowing down as he prepares to play in yet another Super Bowl.

The Patriots quarterback in a recent New York Times profile even discussed playing until he's 43 or 44, and his current contract runs through 2017 (he turns 40 right before that season). He feels good and doesn't see why he can't keep going.

"I just know that I'm sitting here at age 37 and I feel perfect at the end of 16 games," he said. "My arm doesn't hurt, my legs don't hurt. My teammates, they're hurting."

While Brady seems confident about continuing his career, his father Tom doesn't seem as positive.

"It will end badly," he told the magazine about his son's future with New England. "It does end badly. And I know that because I know what Tommy wants to do. He wants to play 'til he's 70. ... It's a cold business. And for as much as you want it to be familial, it isn't."

Brady Sr. noted the Patriots drafting Jimmy Garoppolo and how the team didn't want to be "caught with their pants down." New England selected Garoppolo in the second round of the 2014 draft — the highest pick they've used on a quarterback since Brady became a starter.

As the article states, when the team selected Garoppolo, coach Bill Belichick said, "We know what Tom’s age and contract situation is."

Other interesting tidbits from the article include:

- Tom's favorite ice cream flavor is ... avocado.  "Asked Guerrero at one point if Brady is ever allowed to eat a cheeseburger. 'Yes, we have treats,' he said. 'We make them.' Like what? 'Usually raw desserts, like raw macaroons.' Ice cream made from avocado is another favorite, Guerrero said."

- He doesn't know what his own address is. "'Hahaha, I wish I knew the address,’ he replied."

- Owner Robert Kraft treats Brady like a son. "'Physically very handsome, but as a human being he’s more beautiful' . . . 'like a fifth son to me.'"

- His use of slang is weird. "Brady introduced me to a nanny, whom he addressed as 'babe.' He calls a lot of people 'babe,' male and female, a custom he picked up from his father. He also says 'awesome' a lot."
