All incidents have reportedly occurred since May 28. The felony charge came after an encounter on July 8 between Young and his former lawyer, Brian Hurwitz.

According to a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department arrest report obtained by the Detroit Free Press , Young "stood up from his chair and punched (Hurwitz) several times to his face. After being punched by (Young), (Hurwitz) said he lost consciousness. After regaining consciousness, (Hurwitz) said he was bleeding profusely from his nose and that his nose was swollen and felt broken. He also had pain to his forehead and jaw area."

Young faces 11 other charges in Orange County as well.

Young, 25, played two seasons with the Lions, catching 81 passes in 26 games before being cut in 2013 after intentionally lining up wrong against the Packers during the 2012 season. He was later picked up by the Rams but cut after nine days.
